December 2000 *Special Edition*

The special postage rate increase edition of the e-newsletter sent out mid-December 2000 contained a sampling of new postage rates that had been accepted by the USPS.  This is an expanded version of that newsletter.

According to the USPS, the postage rate increases proposed by the Postal Rate Commission have been accepted (under protest) by the USPS Board of Governors.  The new postage rates will take affect January 7, 2001.

Here is a comparison chart of the new postage rates that were recently agreed upon by the Postal Rate Commission and the USPS Board of Governors.  This chart is only a sample of the various classes, sortation levels and fees included in this latest increase.  Please contact a CCI representative for more information on how these increase will affect you.
